Workshop: Durability – WC

PURPOSE OF THE WORKSHOP
The purpose of the workshop is to introduce or refresh key aspects of the Durability Index (DI) test methods, which are often specified for concrete durability. The tests are: the Oxygen Permeability Index (OPI), the Water Sorptivity Index (WSI), and the Chloride Conductivity Index (CCI). Technical and practical aspects of the DI test methods, from specification to specimen manufacturing, testing, and interpretation of test results, will be presented, providing attendees with a holistic understanding of this unique South African approach to achieving durable concrete.
